If there is one thing you can say about our alumni, it is that they look back to University College Roosevelt as a positive experience, both academically and socially. Of the alumni surveyed, over 90% would choose UCR again as their undergraduate program. The survey thus far covers the classes of 2007 until 2012. Each year a new class is added to this group and compared to the previous years.

Based on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the highest, alumni have reported:

  • Level of our academic program received an average rating of 4.39
  • Quality of our courses received an average rating of 4.17
  • Quality of our instructors received an average rating of 4.24
  • General satisfaction with their time at UCR is rated, on average, 4.3

Graduate programs

According to the survey of alumni, among UCR graduates:

  • 81% are accepted into the graduate program of their first choice;
  • 15% into their second-choice program; ---
  • 93% of the alumni obtained, or expect to obtain, their master’s degree within three years of graduation from UCR;
  • 11% of our graduates continue to a Ph.D. program;
  • 25% receive a scholarship for their continued studies;
  • 51% attend graduate programs in the Netherlands;
  • 46% attend a program in another European country.

Popular destinations

Within the Netherlands, Utrecht University is the most popular study destination of UCR graduates, followed by the Free University of Amsterdam, Maastricht University and Leiden University.

Of the European destinations, the United Kingdom is very popular, especially Cambridge University, University College London, London School of Economics and Oxford University.

Other popular programs are the Erasmus Mundus programs, which offer students the opportunity to complete their program at various European universities. UCR students also further their education in the United States at institutions such as Columbia University, Harvard Medical School and the University of Michigan.
